The annual Hoptoberfest Competition is back! The Down East Alers will once again be hosting this event in the illustrious eastern part of North Carolina. This competition is a AHA/BJCP sanctioned event and is part of the Southeastern Homebrewers Association 2026 Schedule.

The event will follow the 2021 BJCP Style Guidelines and will be restricted to beer only, no ciders or meads.

Competition Entry Limit: 250, Entry Limit per Brewer: 8, Cost per Entry: $10, Bottles needed per Entry: 2
